Imagine Justice Art Reception

When: September 18 | 5:00PM to 8:00PM
Where: Bale Breakers Brewing Company
1801 Birchfield Rd, Yakima, WA 98901

With the Imagine Justice Art Reception coming up in less than a month, now is the perfect time to register and save your spot.

We will gather for an evening of art, community, and inspiration. This is our first Imagine Justice event in Yakima, and it will be a beautiful way to connect and reflect after Day One of the Access to Justice Conference.

The evening will feature the powerful work of the Imagine Justice Youth Art Contest winners, including a new category uplifting the voices of incarcerated youth. We will also debut the 2026 Imagine Justice Youth Art Calendar, a celebration of courage, creativity, and the future our young people envision.

More than an art show, this reception is a call to stand in solidarity with the people whose labor sustains us all. Farmworkers in the Yakima Valley and across Washington pick the food that ends up on our tables, often working long hours in dangerous conditions for very low wages. Many are immigrants who face the constant threat of exploitation and invisibility.

At Columbia Legal Services, we work alongside farmworkers to defend their rights and push back against systems that keep them in the shadows. When you join us at the Imagine Justice Art Reception, you are helping us continue that fight. Your presence and support directly strengthen efforts to secure fair pay, safe working conditions, and dignity for the workers who feed our communities.

We are especially proud to host this reception at Bale Breaker Brewing Company, whose Sesiones del Migrante collaboration honors the contributions of Mexican migrant workers who travel each year to harvest hops. Their commitment to uplifting the stories of workers aligns deeply with our mission.

The evening includes hosted beverages and light snacks, with food trucks on site if you would like to enjoy a full dinner. Whether you stop in briefly or stay the entire evening, you will be part of a movement for justice, community, and change.

We cannot wait to celebrate with you. Together, we can honor youth voices, uplift farmworker rights, and imagine a more just future.
